French filmmaker Fabrice Mathieu’s Dans I’ombre (“In the Shadow”) is film noir made up of other film noirs, telling the story of a literal Shadow. It exclusively uses shorts of silhouettes to create a protagonist you may never have considered when watching any of the originals.
